The Roman Catholic church, only today I heard that an RC Church school in England refused to innoculate girls against an STD that can lead to cervical cancer.

The authorities thought that the girls would benefit from having the jabs at an age before they were likely to have sex, my sister went to an RC school, they had the highest teenage pregnancy score in the whole city.

Thumbs down for the truth, must be dealing with catholics here.

Probably Christian Scientists, they basically do not believe in Medical Care, only prayer. On some occasions they will get vaccinations for their kids to follow the law, other times will not.

There may be some other, smaller sects who refuse medical care but Christian Science is the largest and most organized.

Jehovah’s Witnesses will seek medical care and get vaccines but will not accept blood transfusions.

Christian Scientists, contrary to what their name might suggest, are against formal medicine and believe that the power of faith and prayer will heal the sick.

The Mighty RA above me is 100% correct.

The Cervical cancer vaccine for girls is often refused on religious grounds since getting cancer is a good way to prevent girls from “being dirty”.

If you want a religious exemption I do not think you have to state your denomination. I'm pretty sure the Amish do not get vaccinated.

As far as the HPV vaccine referred to above, I would not allow my daughter to receive that vaccine. It is brand new and those girls receiving it now should be called guinea pigs. We are just now learning about the link between vaccinations and autism. Why experiment with more? Especially HPV which can be prevented 100% by not sleeping around.

*Also the HPV vaccine does not work for all types of cervical cancer. HPV is also carried by the male so why are the men not being vaccinated?
