Does anyone have a religious exemption letter they used for their child in their local school district they would like to share for the exemption of childhood vaccines?

In NJ there are only medical and religious exemptions, otherwise I would be using a philosophical waiver.

I am NOT looking for an Autism debate here, only FRIENDLY advice from other families dealing with Autism. I am fully aware of the "studies" done which clearly proclaim that vaccinations do not cause Autism, although I disagree.

Thanks for your anticipated responses.

If you would feel more comfortable, you can email me the letter at jerseygirl9@yahoo.com
Thanks for your answers so far. In NJ, they only offer religious and medical exemptions. of course I would prefer a philosophical exemption, but it's not an option.

I do belong to many forums and groups related to Autism, both for NJ and nationally, but it never hurts to have additional resources :-)

Thanks to everyone for your responses thus far.

I believe you can get one from this site. I would like to use the "I'm against destroying children" waiver but they don't have that one yet. I feel for the poor children of NJ. I think only Minnesota has a higher vaccination induced autism rate.

my understanding is that you have to get the letter from the school, and then have it signed by your church leader…..it varies by state.

I simply put down "For philosohpical reasons, I require a vacination excemption." I'm an Atheist and didn't use the religious reason and it's not their business to know my medical reasons for this.

It was quite easy to do, although you will need to "renew" this every time school vacinations come around – every few years.

Washington State, if that makes a difference. They actually have a form where you can check which reason you're using for your exception.

Sorry, we did not use this letter, as it was pretty obvious our son's autism wasn't caused by his vaccines, and we did not skip any. But I have read of others using them. Have you tried autism Web sites or the autism support groups on Yahoo? You might have better luck there.

    Best to you.

Add (see answers above) Wow, that's already a better response than I expected you to get–good for you!
